John was fifteen when he first picked up a deck of cards and has struggled to put it down ever since. His love for the art grew when he got the opportunity to teach magic in a volunteer program, sharing the joy of magic with disadvantaged youth and children. John is now Project Director of Project Phoenix, a groundup initiative that teaches youth how to perform magic. This in turn builds their English proficiency, critical thinking, and self-esteem in an innovative manner.
All this experience makes John a seasoned performer when it comes to restaurant magic and parlour magic. He is a House Magician at The Magic Attic, Singapore’s first hidden magic theatre as well as a part-time Resident Magician at The Kitchen Table restaurant at W Hotel Sentosa. Occasionally he is also a Magician/Tour Guide with Monster Day Tours’ Magical Discovery @ Sentosa.
